One of my favorite written songs which invokes the spirit of the Southern tradition, a beautiful song about nostalgia I imagine in light of Lemon's stints in Northern Cities. Blind Lemon's lyrics are by far the most poetic out of any of his peers. He captures the black experience of America's reconstruction in his rich catalog. To me , he is like the American version of "Homer". He is my greatest influence and my biggest inspiration as a musician.
